Buy the Hélios Outfit sewing pattern from I AM Patterns. I am Hélios, a sewing pattern with seven versions. With me, you can make an entire summer wardrobe!

I feature a top with adjustable straps, a straight neckline, bust darts and a slightly A-line cut. I can also be sewn as shorts, a skirt and trousers. These three versions have an elasticated waistband with a drawstring. My skirt is a full circle skirt with Italian pockets. My shorts are mid-thigh and also feature Italian pockets. As for my trousers, they open elegantly at the front of the leg as you walk, and are finished with a rounded shape at the hem. The bottoms can be sewn to the top to create three additional garments: a dress, playsuit and jumpsuit.

Suggested fabrics: Flowy fabrics with a nice drape such as rayon, silk, lyocell, cupro, cotton crêpe, viscose crêpe.

Fabric requirements: To calculate the total amount for versions E, F and G, add together the fabric requirement for the bodice (A) and the bottom of the garment (B, C or D) in your size.

A, E, F and G bodice: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 80 - 160 cm (7/8 - 1 3/4 yd) // 110 cm (43″) wide fabric: 150 - 160 cm (1 5/8 - 1 3/4 yd).

B (see note below): 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 180 - 165 cm (2 - 1 7/8 yd).

C: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 110 - 125 cm (1 1/4 - 1 3/8 yd) // 110 cm (43″) wide fabric: 125 - 165 cm (1 3/8 - 1 7/8 yd).

D: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 215 - 230 cm (2 3/8 - 2 1/2 yd) // 110 cm (43″) wide fabric: 295 - 310 cm (3 1/4 - 3 3/8 yd).

NOTE: It isn’t possible to sew the skirt using 110 cm (43") wide fabric. It also isn’t possible to use 140 cm (55") wide fabric for a full circle skirt in sizes 46 - 52. Therefore, the skirt for these sizes features a lovely volume but isn’t a full circle skirt.

Sizing: EU 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 18, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is drafted for a height of 5’5″ and a B cup.

IMPORTANT: For versions F and G, to be able to slip into the garment, the garment’s bust measurement needs to be at least as large as your hip measurement.

Notions: Versions A, E, F and G: Two 3/4" (20 mm) wide adjustable tri-glide sliders (with moving middle bar); 18" x 28" (45 cm x 70 cm) iron-on interfacing (optional) // Versions B, C, D, E, F and G: Elastic, 3/8" (1 cm) maximum width; drawstring or tie, 3/8" (1 cm) maximum width.
